Goodge wants to tell us a story

Ouch...

Basically keep don't try to do too many jobs at once,

Don't lose sight of the red lights on the starboard side on the way out

Don't unroll the genoa and obscure your view of forementioned red lights...

Oh and don't get sozzled at a Scuttlebutt party the night before !

Nothing too difficult really. Looking forward to another attempt next year.

It was in deed dark and how I wish we'd left 30 miutes later when day light broke.

Also I could have followed somebody else !

The red was the 'dog leg bit' in the outer harbour, don't know the name but know where it is now.

Funny thing was one of the JOG boats did the same thing a little later and had to get a hoist to inspect the damge.

Happy to give details to a wider audience next time you run your
' How to Recognize Submerged Fridges at Sea' course.

It wiznae a fridge it wiz a soddin' container spotted first by moi and identified by Parahandy & JohnM! It was me however who got its position wrong by about 30 Nm inititially!

ACshully I had a close shave last year when the tide was setting me harder onto the Lower Heads than I thought near St PP .. had to do a rapid gybe!

So having avoided running aground you got into St PP and then said :

'F*ck ..that was close. I'm off for an ice cream' and you ended up in the Fermain Bay.

Bit of a trek but it all fits now..

Fridge spotting ...

ah yus, sees them all the time ... quite dreadful really ... CG & drugs squad making a film about it ... !!!

Erm .. Fermain Bay Beach Café ain't acshully a café at all but rather a smart leetle restaurant, though their ice creams are quite tasty as are their waitresses partic la petite french une avec ze little pinny and feather duster...
