Good Value Boat heaters

Maybe, but to quote Prof Brian Cox:

“The problem with today’s world is that everyone believes they have the right to express their opinion AND have others listen to it.

The correct statement of individual rights is that everyone has the right to an opinion, but crucially, that opinion can be roundly ignored and even made fun of, particularly if it is demonstrably nonsense!”

Handbags at the ready.....

I would agree with that...…. Who though decides if it is nonsense or not

pfff Clever he may be but on the backs of others. He presents granted but has yet to put forward an original idea. You sure he said that?

With an attitude like that I really don't care, & to answer your other post, it is a cheap unregulated chinese copy, many of which in the world of general goods have caused people harm, get on with it.

How can you be so sure have you got one or are you just making assumptions...………. Keep your wig on did you not see the :)

But as you seem to have thrown out your rattle...…………. Why do you think I should care what you think...….. and yes I will continue to get on with it which is to look at it test it and report back to others so that if they consider buying one they are perhaps more informed.

I am sure you will never buy one so why are you even banging on.

I suspect you can afford to buy the fully tested gold plated version and have it installed by the the most qualified king of all installers...……. Some people are not so fortunate in this regard

Are you qualified to test it ?
Take the unit to trading standards & ask them to get their experts to check it out, if its OK you can come back here & tell us, if not you may end up saving someones life !

Its only £117 why don't you buy one and do as you suggest rather than instruct others

Planar make a marine version as well as others ,these seem to be for all use ,so I imagine when they have used salted air for a while the combustion chamber will fail,so I suppose the big question is if your boiler broke in your house would you fit a very cheap boiler where you family live and sleep .NOT ME ,but someone will

Grow up your are acting like a child you have said enough

I came on here to share some information about a product and try and help others about that and I am faced with an incredible barrage of arrogance from people who clearly feel that they have the right to tell others what to do...………. Please tell me why you think you have that right

The boat I most likely will install this in is currently on fresh water..... There also seems to be an assumption that I would use this when people are asleep..... No matter what the cost/brand name on an appliance such as this I would not have it on when people are asleep. I am well aware of the dangers of Carbon Monoxide (CO NOT CO2 as other have posted)

Gas boiler = lots of CO and lots of reported deaths
Diesel heater = Minimal CO and no reported deaths

Cone on guys give BP a break, he has bought a cheapo alternative and is willing to give his experience/thoughts now and probably AFTER he has tested it. In a weeks time he may say its the dogs boll... or a load of cra. steer clear.

We know its a chinese copy and not a real planar and he has just said he would never use it over night. I have a Webasto that was fitted by a Webasto agent and have 2 x CO alarms but I would never have it on overnight either.

Personally would I buy one? probably not. There again I would not buy a phone charger off Ebay.

Also its only a couple of years since the Planar's were being viewed with similar skepticism the Chinese ones are getting now. Like it or not you will get my tenpeneth as well as BP's on how I get on with the Chinese cheapie.

Many thanks for the support guys.... I will indeed report how I get on with it and if I think it is crap I will indeed say so

Well I, at least, am looking forward to that, but then again I have more than a suspicion you know what you are talking about. ;)
