good torch suggestions?

I have used a cheap D cell diving torch with the screw on the reflector to turn on. The internals are easily removed to clean contacts etc. I got some quartz halogen globes which are claimed to give about 3 timesl brightness of standard globe. I reckon you can get the best life value out of D cell torches and this particular type come in 1,2,3 or 4 cell variety. The fact that it is water proof gives your besty protection against moisture damage. regards will

I would also recommend the halogen bulb bicycle front lamps. Not the handiest of things to hold but is waterproof and robust and it will sit upright on its base (if you're not rolling) with a good, strong beam. We used them to light the forecabin when going to bed, until I got around to fixing the electrics last year. They're very cheap if you've already got one fixed to the front of the bicycle in the shed /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
