Considering replacing most of the standing rigging on the Vertue this summer - Masthead, Cap and Lower Shrouds and Backstay. 5mm 1X19 S/S. With good quality (Norseman or Hasselfors) terminals.

Can anybody recommend a good rigger(s) somewhere between Lowestoft and Burnham?

Many years since I had this sort of thing done (and that was abroad) - any guesses as to cost?

Hi
The rigging department at Foxs re-rigged our boat throughout a year and a half ago. Thats two masts, two booms, all standing and running rigging, winches, clutches - you name it, we're still paying for it!!

Seriously though, I have nothing but praise for them and would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone else.
I guess, if they are capable of rigging things like 82 ft Oysters they should be able to do anything.
Don't be afraid to ask for discounts. The more you buy through them, the better there discounts can be.
Plus, if you are buying rope, their buying power is huge (imagine how much rope goes into a large Oyster) so they can supply at much better prices than other places (and even supply other firms who sell rope!)
Cheers

Good luck trying to get a response from Rigmagic. Emails go unanswered, calls not returned. I gave them two chances and now always go elsewhere on principle.

If my memory serves me correctly. Atlantic Rigging rigged a catamaran that was being fitted out at IBTC in L'stoft.

No one said anything about long distances dealings only. If a firm cannot deal with a request for a time to drop in for a meeting and discussion then I will not trust them with my job. Not only is it rude, it is unprofessional.
