The marina wanted me to move the boat to a temporary berth so I decided to bring the lift-out forward to today instead. I was delighted when the engine, a Beta 10, started at the first attempt in spite of the misty conditions and temperature of -3 or -4C. If it starts easily under those conditions I think I can be pretty confident that it will start under normal sailing conditions.
