Good old MCA

Hi,

Having just bought a rather elderly Catamaran I decided to go for an entry on the Small Ships Registry. The MCA processed the application with commendable speed. The only problem was that the certificate listed the number of hulls as 1. I called the MCA and after they had a look at the file they agreed that a mistake had been made.

The following day I received my new certificate. Well done the MCA?

Errr... nope. Now the boat has apparently got 0 hulls. Well at least I won't be in any danger of running aground. You have to laugh! I'm sure they will put this right with commendable speed.

Regards

That's the trouble with officials and forms - too constrictive.
I have the same problem with my Keel/s. You are supposed to have either a single long or fin keel, or be a bilge keeler with two keels. Whereas I have a long keel AND two bilge keels.
Have the same problem with sail versus power. You are supposed have either. To have both is not allowed for.
