Great news for Saundersfoot, but isn't about time England received some funding for the South side of the B Channel

I wonder if they will do anything to prevent it quickly being filled up with local boats, most of which will never go anywhere. It seems to have happened in so many other places.
If it is really to encourage tourism - it has to reserve plenty visitor berths.
Will it take single-keel boats ?

The picture shows floating pontoons that don't appear to be connected to the land. What is the point of pontoons in a drying harbour?

There isn't a lot of space there and the moorings are pretty full at the moments so i'm not sure that adding pontoons will allow more boats??

If they don't turn it into a full marina with lock gates to keep water in 24/7 will be a waste of money they got 3 visitor berths at the moment but are always booked up in advance,
And to be honest I don't want to sleep on board my boat on a drying out mooring.
But it had been done on Porthcawl harbour and that's tide restricted.

Totally agree. Likewise I think it's great news for Saundersfoot so long as a bit of thought is applied and the money is spent wisely. Keeping it as a drying harbour would be a waste.

I was told yesterday that the pontoons will be offshore, in deep water... a bit like Dale I should imagine...

They are have to be a long way off shore to find deep water there at low tide lol
