Here's a novel idea....let's make today a 'Good News Day'.

Only posts with something positive to say....be it about your boat, weekend plans or even (wait for it) the Thames itself.

I'll start....

I'm going to see Byron ....... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

After breakfast, I'm going to take a 26' slice of larch down to the pontoon to keep me occupied for a few days/weeks/months. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I get my new fenders delivered ready to pick the boat up next week (not that I am unhappy about the delays in that, it is A-OK).

SWMBO left a pot of meal worms by the office door which my dozzy left foot found this morning, scattering them all over the carpet /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif but wait, Mr Robin is now in here tidying them up! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Umm, I\'m

not a political animal,

BUT Crewe and Nantwich??

Whoever you support (if any), I'm sure the result will focus the minds of many folks.

Did you see the blonde sort on the platform with him? No wonder he won, I'd vote for him too just to see her.

Picked up my new (to me) Landrover yesterday; a 90 diesel (via ebay!).

have had a 109 and a 110 (both petrols), have always wanted a 90.

Obviously i won't be able to afford any fuel for it, but it looks pretty good (c:

Hmmm I see a trend here RR. Any smaller and you'd have to go the way of a Light-weight...

I have a 1983 Land-Rover Series III petrol. Ex Coast-Guard.

Equipped with a Fairey CG capstan winch. Only got 23,000 miles on the clock. Currently SORN cos I got to fat to fit behind the wheel!

Oh yes, its got Parabolic springs for a better ride.

Anyone fancy it? (Its in good nick and is a good runner)

PM me.

We had some new carpet fitted at home and have enough left over to replace the rather tatty affair in the saloon on the boat. Heading down to the marina tomorrow after missing out last weekend to measure up.

Heading out with friends on Sunday, but a bit concerned about the weather forecast. Took the same friends this time last year overnight at the islands at Shiplake. HIgh winds and a rapidly rising river saw the mooring pins pulled out a couple of times during the night. Are we tempting fate taking them to the same place again?

Don't tempt me. I love Landies. Stick it on Ebay it will fetch good money.

Spent a glorious couple of days on the boat, going upriver to Chertsey. The weather was idyllic, the waters calm, no probs with the boat, and best of all, no robos out on a Friday!

Hope some of you were out enjoying the sunshine too /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
