so, because I have no time this summer I asked for Artemis to be lifted out. This was a month ago and I've paid the (not small) fee.
At the weekend I went to Fambridge to retrieve some tools and a power lead that we want to use on Ocean Lady - after looking for Artemis for half an hour in yard and thinking "I can't even remember what this sodding boat looks like" I called the yacht station and spoke to the ferry man who confirmed that she was still in water - annoying!
Anyway - the weather was SO beautiful that me and mum sat on board for an hour enjoying a cup of coffee in the sunshine, the birds twittering and watching the world go by. Unfortunately, mum didn't want to go sailing, but it's been the nicest hour I spent on board all year! Thank heaven for the water taxi
The crummy thing was that the outboard had been sitting in the water for month gathering about 10 kilos of weed and barnacles. I could hardly even get it out of the well.
