good marina suggestions from IOW heading west

Yes, shame you will be sunning yourself in the Med! Well, weather looks set fair for next week so we will make the most of it.

Brian will be single handed so following my little confrontation with a taxi earlier in the yera I'm going to "crew" for Brian. The "Old Girl" is running well and Brian loves her.

Please post lots of pics when you get back David.

Our cruise in company kicks off on Wednesday 18th - first stop Weymouth - we are booked on the pontoon in front of the HM office. Then down to Torquay (MDL) for two days with a BBQ at the Carery Arms. Then back to the Solent via Lyme Regis on 22nd August.

We will be 14 boats so any of you lot around - come and say high.

Do you know if you will fill the marina?? or is it big one

Going West

It may be worth booking berths as we are currently in Brixham, went to Weymouth on Sunday and the HM pontoons was full so went to Portland Marina.
and moved to Brixham on Monday, not many spare berths available, seems alot of boats are not moving for the holiday season staying local down here ( Not a bad choice ) so berths are tight. Plymouth is busy with the fire work competition all this week and Darthaven is call as you arrive you might be lucky or not is generally the case.

Best of Luck, if anyones about PM for a drink and chat

In Dartmouth right now... If you fancy fish and chips, go to 'Rockfish', it's a restaurant rather than a chippy, but THE best fish and chips I have ever eaten!

It's a spin off of "The Sea Horse" just down the road, it's a lower cost version aimed at families and only opened this summer.

Have not made it there yet, maybe this week end, but it supposed to be very good.
