David Kindred seemed to realise the way Ipswich was going long before the rest of us. He has been very generous in allowing locals to use his pictures so I make a point of giving his books as presents as that is one way to say thank you. He used to have a fantastic column in the Evening Star called Kindred Spirits where contributors used to write in with their memories. Fantastic stuff.
