Spring clearouts unearthed a box of past PBO magazines, and I leafed through and salvaged scores of helpful, informative articles which I'm 'sleeving' and storing in ring-binders. Certainly among the best of them is the collection of Dick Everitt's articles full of clever, practicable solutions to problems. There are some 50 of these 'Sketchbook' pages, each averaging 10 ideas.... which amount to some 500 solutions to problems we all may encounter. I know I and friends have used some of these myself over the years, saving lots of time and money, and we're likely to use more.

I'm aware some of these were incorporated into booklets, but haven't seen any for some time. This kind of highly practicable knowledge is becoming as rare as hen's teeth - it doesn't feature in any RYA courses I know - and I imagine that if the publishers incorporated it all into a .pdf file, there would be a ready market for it as an online book.
