Golden Globe Sailor in need of help

I am a member of the Royal Institute of Navigation and they have just emailed all the members with this request - thought that someone in PBO may well have one of these at the back of a cupboard:

Good afternoon Small Craft Group Members, Ian Herbert-Jones, AFRIN, will be starting the Golden Globe Race on 4 September 2022. His Lokata 7 Handheld Marine Radio Direction Finder has become defective. If you know of a working unit then Ian and his team would like to rent or buy it urgently. Would any type of hand held marine RDF of that era (such as a SeaFix perhaps) be 'allowed' as a replacement for a Lokata?

No idea to be honest but I suspect so.

The Lokata was substantially better than the Seafix - I've used both.
