Hi Folks, Does anyone know whether you can access the loose bearings on this old Goiot halyard swivel. Bearings are shot which is impacting furling and hoping to replace in situ if possible. There's a small grub screw in the base of the swivel, can't work out whether it pulls or screw apart or whether it needs to be removed from the foil to access bearings. Thanks in advance!

Not managed to find a model number, but Furler has Goiot 7.7 loa stamped on it. Just to update in case it helps anyone. Grub screw locks cap and base together. Cap and base screw together to secure case. Bearings are loose (when you unscrew top and base, they will go everywhere). Top bearings are 6mm, bottom bearings are 5mm. Replaced them in situ, bought two boxes of 50 316 bearings and this was plenty. Held bearings in place with K99 grease. Now working perfectly.

Thanks, I have the same model. Watch the halyard swivel - if that inner nylon bearing swells it can be a monster job to remove. Don't be tempted to try and lubricate it .. seems to make matters worse.
