Further to previous post. Having just returned can report that a 2.2 m draught can JUST get into the inner harbour, no problem in the canal but we touched the bottom immediately before entering the town harbour opposite the outside pontoons. The Harbourmaster was incredibly helpful, loads of room inside too.

Agree that Kortgene is great (have you eaten at the Overstag restaurant yet in the town - excellent and really good value). If you need any work done on the boat I can recommend Kats just around the corner. Peit Sinke is the habourmaster and Ed is the "do-er of everything". They re-fitted our teak decks and even sent weekly e-mails with photos to keep us informed. Cost less than half the quoted price in the UK.

At the begining of this season, we swapped the Medway for the Veerse Meer. M-J is now permanently moored in Kortgene and will remain so for many years to come. Just up the way from Goes!

Slightly off-thread - but how do you get to the boat? Do you simply drive from Calais, or have you found a quick route by public transport?
