Gobius water/fuel level indicater

This looks like an interesting device which is fitted outside the tank.
Anybody had user experience? Thanks fo any comments.

Yes, fitted them to my holding tank a year ago............ but they were much cheaper then!(purchased from Tek Tanks....think it was an introductory offer??).

You need to properly clean/abrade the surface of the tank, but once done properly the sensors stick well. System works very well. No complaints.

Supplementary question.
What is the readout from this instrument??

The readout on the very neat (say 10cm x 10cm) panel is 4 small coloured lights arranged vertically (plus an on/off button.) Bottom light shows when system is switched on. The three lights above are illuminated sequentially as the tank fills. I have the 3 sensors arranged so that it shows approx 1/3 full, 2/3 full and (almost) full (ie just enough space for 1 or 2 more flushes!).

Note that the sonic pulses are generated every few minutes (to reduce current consumption) so that there is always a time lag before you get an accurate reading after water is added to the tank. Not a problem in practice.

It needs a cable fitted to a plastic rod and inserted into the tank, but looks as if it would be a an effective and reasonably priced alternative for use in holding tanks.
