Hi all, are there any forum members that own or have owned this boat?

Am planning on looking at a few but wanted to get owners views on the boat, how do they handle, build quality etc.

Also any gremlins to look out for.

Many thanks

Andy

I've worked on a few , both sishoe and moody both have owned them .
Moving over to the green side then ?
Most have kad 300 later have D6 . A great sports boat for room but boy are they a wet ride and slam hard in a head sea. Osmosis is quite common too along with stress cracks . Big canvas area too.

You make it sound like a sea line!

Possibly lol, the 1 I'm looking at had D6 350 hp.

I owned a 2004 kad 300 powered 425sc for a couple of years, only trading it in against my new bavaria in oct last year.
I think its a great boat, super stylish, loads of room down below and finished to a good quality (far better than my current bavaria). Its a bit underpowered on kads but would be ideal on the D6's. I got wet a few times, but cant say it was a wet boat under normal conditions, also didnt find mine slammed either.
The hull on mine had been epoxy coated when new and gave very low moisture reading on the survay, although Gobbi at the time was under Azimut ownership, they dont seem to suffer with the osmosis problems Azimut's do of that sort of age. No problems with stress cracking either.
Easy boat to handle, i moved up from 30ft searay, and although it seemed bloody big, it generally did what i wanted it too.
Only problems i had were vp related, had to have the cone clutch's replaced in the drives and had an electrical issue with the controls which was solved when a dry joint was found on a plug.
Theres a review of my old boat and a couple of others that were for sale at the time in mbm sept or oct 2012 & on youtube.
The current boats for sale look good, going on what i bought and sold mine for i'd expect to pay about 110k maybe 115k
Feel free to pick my brains, i know the boat like the back on my hand.

Try to buy with D6 engines 330 or bigger, as a bit under-powered with KADs 300 which should reflect in resale value. Will do 30 knots with KAD 300s and medium load.

A bit wet in following quartering seas but mostly due to a vacuum effect caused by the long bimini IMO.
I love its design and looks (two time Gobbi owner since 1994 and always happy with the brand) and if I wanted a two cabin stern drive boat over 40 feet with large full beam cabin,
would be top of my list along with the Absolute 45 which shares a very similar hull and layout.
