If you mean not a gopro, I use Veho Muvi cameras and they are just as good but cheaper.

Ion air pro life is what I have.

You don't need WiFi so look for the one without. Bought from tesco for 59 although now around 99 if you can get one.

Used mine today and it had a bashing in the F5.

Washed the salt water off under the tap at the moorings. No fiddly cases to use!

Its simple to use, good quality and battery lasts over 2 hrs.

I use Veho Muvi cameras too, perfectly good enough for what I want from a video camera.
This footage was taken with a 3 year old Veho Muvi inside a waterproof case, the quality is better when not using the waterproof case.: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rHPUZPDYgQE

I just got the Blackview 1.. like most of these the fisheye can be pretty obvious in some situations..scan a marina full of sailing boat masts and it is quite amusing! For anything without vertical lines (ie masts) it seems ok. Also, most of them are a bit variable into the sun..so you often get very dramatic skies.
As in the review, the menu on this one is nuts, but then you have video, camera and wifi, so there is not alot in key controls to scroll through. The wifi is pretty cool in that you can watch live and control the camera through your phone.
Batteries don't last that long so get extra.
Can't say I have tried any others, but for £50/60/70 or whatever is was, seems pretty good to me.

I've got the Liquid Image Ego and a Contour Cam. Both are great. The Ego I use if I think it may get lost. The Contour cam works better on a ski helmet as it has a big switch to turn on or off with gloves. Waterproof out of the box. There is a big difference in image colour so it is worth to look for comparison video's on the web before you by.

thanks for all replies----i am getting sj 4000 with wi fi----£66 from amazon ---could have got it cheaper direct from china but think amazon will be easier to deal with if there is any problems----regards lenten

+1 for this particular model.

It is the gopro copy that gets copied by others. I use it instead of the gopro where there is a chance of it getting lost, damaged, etc. Good quality and result. Compatible accessories.

I nearly bought a Go Pro, but then decided (prob like some others) to take a punt with a cheapo copy first to see if I use it etc. I found a DBPOWER EX5000 - £35 delivered inc an extra batt and a load of accessories. Any good? - the reviews say its OK - we'll see. Anyone else got one?
