Asked for a VHF to be fitted and ended up with a super dooper overkill for the size of the boat DSC type.
Where do I get the MMSI number from,.?

When you send off for your ships radio licence tick the box on the form that says you have a DSC unit and you will be sent an MMSI number with your callsign.
You must also take the operators certificate for DSC if you have not done so already as the ordinary cert does not cover it.
