If you want to see more so that she gets built over a few days - I can post more, otherwise I shall shut up.

Re: Gludy\'s Boat in Build

She is a Tarquin trader 575 with the extra extnesion.
Engines: Twin Cat C12 700hp
Gene: 17kw Air cooled gene for when dryying out 3kw
She has the deep keel option.
Hydraulic bow and stern thrusters with hydraulic stablisers.

Re: Gludy\'s Boat in Build

Excellent Paul, keep pics coming. I particularly like the auxiliary fuel tanks on the bathing platform. Are they standard or a special for you so that you can fill up on Taiwanese go juice before shipping?
More seriously, is it an optical allusion or are the prop shafts mounted in fin keels. Never seen that before if its correct

Re: Gludy\'s Boat in Build

Paul - great stuff, thanks for finally posting these. Presumably its a straight GRP hull?

Must admit I like blue hulls, but umm my new one is blue too /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

What no IPS? /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
Like the boat Paul - what is her overall length - 60ft?
Scaffolding is a bit dodgy.
Last year I received a CD Rom from Elegance as we were considering the 48. Again, I didn't like the Health & Safety aspects of the build /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
Make sure you post some nice interior images and also some of her in the water.
I know what you are going through as we wait for our new boat in approx 3 weeks - anyone around Chichester this weekend to take some pics for us?
Anyway Paul, all the best with her.

Re: Gludy\'s Boat in Build

Here is another batch:-

Early saloon - we are having the loose super yacht furniture in it.
img0011.jpg

The teak is all full depth individual strips hand laid as is the holly/teak inside.
img0014.jpg

They cover the GRP to protect it - even the hull gets covered with a white spray that they rip of as a sheet when delivered - she is delivered.

early aft deck shot

The thuster takes shape:-

Re: Gludy\'s Boat in Build

Will you keep the name DrumBeat - always liked that name which gives me an idea for a new thread.

Re: Gludy\'s Boat in Build

It's really good to see these pics, not something most of us would generally get the chance to see. Isn't it time to make it compulsory for all real sea boats to have dark blue hulls like this?

Re: Gludy\'s Boat in Build

Its costs a lot more to do a dark blue hull - they have to clean out the moulds and generally take a lot more care - in this case the cost was $42,000 for that option, it was the most difficult extra to swallow and probably explains why it is the only one!

Re: Gludy\'s Boat in Build

42k?!? Ouch. Looks stunning though, so I bet you're glad you did. Presumably its just GRP, and not painted or awlgriped?
