glowplugs for westerbeke 30B

She has a westerbeke 30B fitted and the engine is now 12 years old, although not used for 5 years before I got her and was thinking about starting to carry a few spares. starting with glow plugs. But at £50 each (3) a bit put of.

Does any body now where some third party units might be purchased at a more relistic price? And any other bits: starter, alternator? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I was told by a marine engineer, when I thought I had a glow plug problem, that the glowplugs will rarely fail, however, the means to turn them on whether by key or push button switch is the most likely to give problems.
If they work now ok, and it is easy to test them, then leave them alone and buy some other spares.
