Can't find a VSWR plot for the RA106 stainless whip, anybody using it for both AIS and VHF?
Also, I find the FME connection interesting. I am buying a new cable too, with FME on BOTH ends would make life easy when the mast is coming down for Winter. I was wondering how much loss I should expect with an additional PL-259 to FME adapter? My main reason for keeping the cable in one piece was to avoid losses on the deck fitting, if it's just relocating the losses elsewhere then I can just go with an N-type deck fitting.
OTOH, the RA109 is also an option, as I won't make much use of the FME on the masthead.
