Melodie & Colin, on Whiskey Jack, leave no line un-tweaked in their bid to catch Jangada.

In turn locked in pursuit of Jose & Luiz's Barco.

Bouncing back from their rudder damage and lightning strike double whammy of start delays; Thibaut & Nicolas are 'last but not least' with Free Dom. Determined to make the Cape Horn leg start on 18.2.26

Spare a thought for Free Dom (Thibaut & Nicolas). Who are too busy sailing to be posting pictures! They still have 4350nm to cover, before the Cape Horn leg starts in Valparaiso on 18.2.26

Likewise for Jose & Luiz. As Barco homes in on the Valparaiso finish line, 280ish nm ahead.

....whilst the lighter / warmer / drier weather may make for more pleasant sailing; it has the potential to shuffle the sharp fleet pack. Before the finish line is crossed. Tracker Here (enable wind overlay under Settings Previsions )

Free Dom's Thibaut & Nico are in the Deep South. Exploring the exclusion limit, on all fours. (Bear with the auto-translate)

For several of the Class40 sailors, ashore in Valparaiso, the Mini-Transat was their training ground for this race. Including Lisa off Wilson and Djemila off, fleet leader, Curium. Here Djemila gives a guided tour of her Classe Mini 6.50, alongside and at sea. (English subtitles)

Thibaut & Nico still hugging the southern exclusion limit. Once Free Dom gybes, its 1600nm to Valparaiso

Wonder if consideration is being given, to adjusting the Feb 18th start date, for the Cape Horn (Valparaiso to Recife) leg? To allow crew and craft an opportunity for adequate recuperation/preparation.

They should be here with four or five days to spare - and one of the co-skippers is changing for the next leg. There will also be an army of very knowledgable volunteers to help with any boat work that needs doing, so at the moment the expectation is they will be able to start with the rest of us and be well rested for the restart.
