Glastron water tube under instrument panel?

Greetings. Does anyone know what may be a water tube under the instrument steering panel? We were spending some time on the water yesterday on our brand new Glastron GTSF 205 when an end of 1/8 inch black tube just dropped below the instrument panel and started shooting water. The rate of water coming from the tube seems to be increasing and decreasing with the RPM of the motor. I can't trace where it was connected to under the column and the only thing I noticed is that the gas level indicator seems to be moving rapidly but I doubt it's related.

Can anyone shed some light on what this tube may be?

It should be connected to the speedometer. The other end connects to a pitot tube under the transom. Very basic not at all accurate.

I have one on my 16ft boat connected to the outboard ranging from 5 to 30 knts and it's no more than 1knt out .
