Glass bowl for CAV296 filter

Has anyone found a reasonably-priced source for spare parts for Lucas/Delphi fuel filters? I want to replace a glass sight bowl that goes underneath the 296 filter.

I have the same problem but am seriously considering replacing the CAV with a better and more easily serviced/cleaned make.

I've got a CAV separator (rather than a filter/separator) with the same glass bowl and base and top. only difference is the screw is shorter. I was keeping it as a spare but would sell for £15. it's not new but close to it.

I bought a new glass bowl for a CAV filter/separator from our local Lucas dealer earlier this year. From memory it was a less than a fiver.

Pop into your local motor factors and try them.

I replaced the glass bowl and got a couple from a local motor factor (tweedmouth auto electrics) in Berwick. Cost 3-4 pounds from memory. I got a couple so carry one as a spare.

Hi, ASAP do the glass bowl and also aluminium ones that comply with the BSS regulations, they also do the drain plugs which always seem to break (I always carry a spare).

It used to be the case that every engine outfit on the canals had loads oif then available free because BWB had forced canal boaters to replace with the metal ones.
