Hi all again,

I am looking for the size of the saloon table in the Westerly GK24. We have bought our GK24, but it has no table, just the original foot base, which also requires replacing, no problems there. However, I would like to know the dimensions of the original table, if anybody knows…

I have tried the westerly Owners website, but no luck so far…

Thanks in advance,

It's 30+ years since I sailed on a GK24 but, IIRC, we used to clip a full sized chart to the table, and it just fit. So I'd say it's Admiralty chart sized, (roughly).

Thinking about it, I could be wrong... The chart might have been folded in half to fit....

Not much use ..... Sorry :(

I'm not sure if mine is standard, but mine is 46x76cm and the centre pole is offset 17cm in from the side. That way it gives more room for getting about & spin it around 180º & it gives more room for eating/sitting. I am thing of cutting it down & hinging one side to give a bit more room.

My Bavaria 47 table has seats on all four sides. It was originally built so to could be dropped to make a bed, but this meant the edges were on a vertical line from the front of the seats. I've cut it down so the edges are now a more reasonable 60mm. I suggest you aim for this as a minimum, maximum about 100mm.

Thank you very much guys, much appreciated. I don't want to make it too large. The offset is a good idea, I'll definitely incorporate that too!
