Yep, I was the one that bought her, Robert has been a most gracious seller to this newbie buyer and the deal was completed start to finish in about 4 months since this thread started! Would have been quicker if not for Covid-19. From seeing her up close, she is a very pretty boat and there have already been a number of compliments my way. I hope to be enjoying her as soon as possible!

Onwards and upwards for the Khamsin, looking forwards to at least another 10 years in commission!
(y) I'm delighted for you Mr. Buyer. Rarely has a deal been so enjoyably and well conducted - even if the emails have clogged-up my inbox (approaching 300 now!)
Don't forget to join Marine Traffic so I/we can see you out on the water :)

Well done Luminescent, a lovely boat when we got our guided tour a couple of years ago. Will you be taking her south? Happy sailing.

Robert, I trust the shore side facilities for visiting yotties will be kept? Also day trips on our boat may be available to deserving OAPs... ;)

Hah nothing like a good email chain!

I'll be joining the Marine Traffic in due course, pretty sure I'm not going to get much done in the way of sailing this year now, but certainly as we approach the next season (or if I find an available spot in the mean time...)!

@ctva ; Many thanks. For the moment she will remain up north. I'm actually anticipating enjoying a bit of Scotland before bringing her down to the Bristol Channel (pembroke way). I had hoped Swansea but my plans have been scuppered by Covid thus far!

OF COURSE!
The Mill Bay mooring will be available (at visitor's` risk - surveyed 2019 and riser chain "beefed-up"). Bit dodgy in a bad northerly, but all other directions and wind strengths OK.
First come- first served and that includes the Gin, Pizzas and showers (with a bit of notice for the last two!!).
You'll be an OAP one day, smartie-pants?
To all YBWs, as that famous lady said "Come up 'n' see me me".

Just had two powered hang-gliders fly over - now there's a new pastime that tickles the fancy!!

Enjoy your sailing/boating folks

Robert, pleased to hear that she’s gone to a good home. Bitter sweet emotions I guess, when you saw her sail away for the final time. Enjoy whatever you decide to do next.

Found this poignant. Just been through a similar thought process
Gwylan gas recently gone to we owner.

I have moved to the dark side and bought a camper.

Life is a revelation, I do not need a tide table, the weather is whatever it is going to be. I can find quiet laybys and park for nothing.
No one gives a toss if I wear a life jacket. Haven't heard a radio check request for Noddy's dildo or whatever.

But I do miss the act of owning a boat.

What you do need is VED a hefty insurance premium (so much more expensive than boats it seems!) an inordinate amount of fuel...

My mobile phone icons have greatly disappeared! Funny, I don't miss the "owning a boat" but the view of the sea means much less appealing. Beautiful, but "it's just there"
An a camper may sound useful, but I could NEVER capitulate.......

She's still up here and shall be for a while yet. But I'm sort of avoiding going to the Loch and catching sight of her :(
She's going to be appreciated, that's the main thing.
Thanks, all, for your kind comments
