Given the location, should I go looking for another cause?

This is where we board and I'm not aware of anything being dropped and I was wondering if the cause could be something else. I'm going to repair it on Tuesday when its a bit warmer but just wondered if anyone had any thoughts about the probably cause?

I've got some of that on one of my dinghies, since I've got rammed.
My guess would be a knock, probably while moored?
If it's distortion of the deck due to the chain plate, I'd expect the shape to be visibly wrong by the time the gel cracks.

As old timers have inform me, the most damages occur when sudden violent moves take place on boat, for example, if your sidestays and sidestays are loose at the leeward side they will get a stress sock at the time of tacking. They leeward side should be loose but in a proportion that they can absorb the sudden change of force.
