Friend's 50th birthday coming up and I want to get him something boaty.

Being a mobo'er and not sailor I am struggling a bit as I would rather not just get him what I want - 500 litres of red diesel!!!

Any suggestions for a good gift for this important birthday...budget around the £50 mark.

New flag or club pennant or even a flag pole.
Fenders or those SS fender holders.
Spring shock absorbers for mooring lines
Kit of cleaning materials ie bleach oxalic acid acetone gloves etc.
Set of glasses for the boat. or Crockery cuttlery new fry pan, saucepan recipe book carving knife cutting board.
Wine or Port for the boat
Dehydrated meals or box of dry food stuffs or tinned luxuries. (biscuits or sweets)

Multitool is a good suggestion, why not make it more personal and get it engraved as well? Similar thing goes for polo top with name / boat name.

We were given towels in two sizes with the boat's name embroidered on - very swish, and still a pleasure to use.
