Why were they "ordered" to cut her loose?Weeks later—on February 1—the Orlova was spotted by the Atlantic Hawk, a supply craft used to ferry materials to and from oil platforms. The Atlantic Hawk was able to intercept and secure the Orlova but cut the vessel loose on February 4, following orders of Transport Canada, the country's equivalent of the US Department of Transportation. Now she's again sailing on her own, a prisoner of the Atlantic's currents.
why don't we organise a salvage job, and recondition the vessel to provide luxury winter forum cruises to the sunshine ?
Judging by recent ' luxury cruises ' with overflowing / out of action loos, no thanks unless clued up people like forum members sort it out first !
I'm willing to give it a go re salvage but funnilly enough don't happen to have a tug handy.
From that link:

surely they could have claimed salvage if they had wanted to?
Target practice for the RAF lads.
