Summer 2001 a sunseeker crashed into an island in lough Erne. Over £35k of damage. almost half a page in Ireland Afloat magazine was dedicated to the incident which later was blamed on a black out. (The helmsman doesnt drink). That must have been rather embarrasing to the owner. Last year MBM included it in the scuttlebuck page (A page I always enjoyed !!). Made the guy look a total plonker. Now we have a forum posting that has totally disapeared because either the boat owner or the marina got a bit embarased. 10 years ago I tip over tailed a little speed boat belonging to my brother. When neither of us were hurt we thought it was the funniest thing possible. I am sorry I have no pics to include.
where life is preserved let,s laugh at our woopsies.

I was told yesterday that there was a major incident at Hythe Marina last week - something about gates being left open? - but haven't seen any postings about it - understand quite a few boats were damaged.
