Getting swmbo to buy me an Open60 at the boat show

Swmbo is off to the boat show with some boaty mates tomorrow, so texts me is there anything I need? Oh, you could get me an Open60 for my birthday. Oho, is that like a sunseeker, she asks? Well, um, it's a bit like a sunseeker i suppose darling, pointy and almost the same sort of speed, give or take. I nearly got her to ask about them on here, but she was suspicious of the setup and rumbled me by googling dammit... but then i explained how there wdn't be a problem cos instead of having to stay on the boat, see, we wd prolly have to stay in hotels a lot of the time, or she would anyway- cos it wd have to be a singlehander, see? A definite tick there, she is suddenly very keen. I tolder it's a bit unlikely that there'll be an open60 for sale at the boat show, really, mostly caravan er cruising boats innit but dare say she will be accosting a few unfortunate staff, liven up their day i suppose...

Open 60? Have you been meddling with the medication again?
Going from super swish and relatively rapid(check ARC crossing times) self contained holiday resort to rufty-tufty no frills, not even a Mojito cocktail shaker Open 60 is a large variation on course.
Also, Plains of Madness stuff all that single-handing. Ever met a sane one?
Axshully, no strike that last, you aren't near the top of the tree in the sanity league anyway.
I am not sure I could stand reading the blog with you blubbing somewhere in the Southern Ocean with a duff generator and a broken can opener going deolali due to sleep deprivation and all. Besides, its all been done by a 16 year old girl now, so not heroic at all now somehow.

Having sailed on a couple of Ocean 60's you might like to suggest that Mrs TCM goes for a test drive to see how it handles and to make sure that it would be suitable for you.
