A square and sharp cornered piece of hardwood will shear it off surprisingly effectively. Thank Eric Birch of Jaguar Yachts for that little gem.

You can get a tube of stuff from screw-fix which removes silicon, or you can scape it off with a razor blade and finish of with acetone.

Thaks, one thing I think I will not use is the silican sealent remover sold by Unbond, they let me know it will damage gel coat! At least I found they are very fast at providing information.

scrubs cleaners will get it off and wont damage the gell coat.... I've bought them in chandlers, or some hardware stores...theyre thos impregnated cloths I always carried a tub as they'll remove sika flex as well!
