Getting a companionway door track to Mallorca

Can anyone recommend a courier who'll deliver a door track to Mallorca? I've tried a few of the courier brokers and they seem to have a limit of 1.5m length, this is 1.6m x 2cm x 2cm, approx 0.5kg.

Hi Mike

We ship everyday around Europe and the World - for odd sizes or heavy weights we use TransGlobal Express. I just checked and the cost would be £24.52 for your package and the courier would be TNT Express who are excellent but there is no cover for damage. There are other choices including UPS which is £26.68 and will include a certain level of cover (I think it's £50 from memory), or you can purchase more if you need it. Word of warning - international couriers are not as loving with the packages as UK ones, and UK ones aren't that good anyway, so make sure it is well protected. May I suggest a postal tube with bubble wrap in and out..

Many thanks to you both - maybe seemples for you Tico but my addled brain didn't think of that, duh! I'll bookmark the transglobal site, will be handy in the future too. I think I'll put the track in a length of 1" 1/4 waste pipe to protect it.
