If you're of the Talking 'bout my generation generation, do yourselves a huge favour and book tickets to see The Counterfeit Stones Get Your Doo-Dahs Out Tour, coming to a venue (reasonably) near you.

The show is a mixture of brilliantly good muscianship, combined with really cheesy humour (it starts off at a home for confused and aged rock stars, Furke Hall). Best night out I've had for years. Even got a demographically late-middle-age audience rocking in the aisles.

Certainly nowhere near me I'm afraid. Not one venue north of the border. Just something else I'll have to miss - Boo-Hoo. Still, not sure if my ageing ticker could stand it anyway!

We went to see 'Nearly Dan' couple of weeks ago.

Fine 10-piece band they were too.

Thanks Ken,

I'm off to see them when they reach Cambridge in late April. Having seen the originals (c1970) I'm sure it will be a great evening.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to practice my pout and strut.....
