It seems that the country's Motorways are filled by Haulage companies moving Boats - I've seem loads over the last few days M5 / M6 / M42 etc - Raggies, Flybridge, sports cruisers, displacement - all sorts.

Now cant you guys keep your boats in the water and not move em by road cus I'm gunna have an accident trying to rubber neck a good look, as I overtake.

Well thats part of the problem - how can I have a good look on a busy motorway without risking life and limb.

But I think there was a F37, Colvic Northerner, couple of 28 foot Regal/Searay thingys that all look the same to me, and of course the raggies (not a clue about makes)

think some with boats realise that its cheaper, or same price, to pay to have your boat moved than go on a "normal" holiday. Lot to be said for it, you still have your own space, your beloved boat, and new places to go. Having done this i can highly recommend it.

Driving down the M5 between Gloucester and Exeter yesterday I noticed 6 ribs and what looked like a racing monohull all travelling North. Seemed strange as I'd have though they were more likely to be going the other way. Still, all the more room for us /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif
Mind you they probably saw the forecast. Been foul today, horizantle drizzle. Never mind, atleast the boat is in the water now./forums/images/icons/smile.gif
