The next port was Falmouth - this produces 2 videos the first of which is here all filmed inside the National Maritime Museum. If you have not been - its well worth a visit and this video gives you an idea of what its about.

Yopu will need braodband to view.

The exploding liferaft is a good bit in it.

If for any reason you cannot see it, please try agin in about 15 minutes as the media server seems to want to warm up before serving :-)

Was that Chris in that bright yellow coat doing a spot of fishing? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

You know it could have been chris but ihe had too much hair for that! A sort of 70's look followed by his grandfather doing the same thing.

The next video with the 500 hp bow thruster will be up in a few hours.

All footage was taken on the one trip - no library footage used.

The next one will be another leap in quality I hope and widescreen.
I am using these videos to experiment with different techniques. The way Flash is produced there is no dealy - it just plays and these are big videos for the web. However can do better.

I'm no expert on video production, but in the video when fast movement occurrs you can see the interlacing artifacts. Would it not be better to deinterlace the video as most people will be watching the vids on a computer monitor rather than a tv?

MuckeyPuo - in actual fact the video was a bit of a technical mistake in compression that will be fixed on the next video.

It is shot in High Density widescreen and there are frankly many routes it can take. I am also making the flash player variable in size - you can increase/reduce its size by dragging the corner - mybe it may be best for me to fix its size so you can only see the intended quality.

The instant paly, no waiting for a buffer nature of flash means that it is the best route to go. I will be adding a Quicktime version as well.

I have decided to relase part of the video unedited - the waves hitting the back of the boat with me being thrown about a fair bit but that is after Weymouth.

Thre is still the second video of Falmouth to come.

I asked the museum could I video and it would be free advertsing and they said yes, that was over the phone before going - in effect I am only helping them advertise, they could hardly sue me for damages for what is a 3 minute free advert!

Glad you enjoyed it and look forward to improving the marks on my next submission later on today.

Never been to an interesting museum yet, or temple or ruins for that matter. I've decided I'm a food and drink tourist, and the best way to experience somwhere new is from within its licenced premises.
