I bought my Gerber Suspension tool 18-24 months ago. I recently managed to break the pliers - I recall I was gripping them hard with one hand at the time - so sent an email to Gerber asking where I could obtain parts as I did not consider it warranty.

They sent a standard email back about their limited warranty, inviting me to send it to them. I remembered reading something positive on this forum about Gerber (Silva) some time ago, so off it went.

Less than a week later, I have a brand new tool back. despite me stating I considered it my fault.

Gerber seem to be providing the service level we all hope for. Plus a bit more.

No connection incidentally.
 
I have one of these as well. While the quality of the materials it is made out of is not as high as my Leatheman Wave, the actual design particularly the locking mechanism is far superior IMO to my Letheman. Couple this to the low price, £27 ish via Amazon last I looked, and you have a real winner!
 
Shame about the phillips screwdriver, I wish you could change it
