Having listened to Geoff Holt at a talk, I'm sufficiently impressed by him to ask you to vote for him.
In case your memory for names is bad as mine, he's the quadraplegic chap who sailed singlehanded around England, Wales and as much of Scotland as vodafone can be bothered with!
He's now hoping to do the Atlantic.
When I first heard of him capsizing just after leaving, I was not impressed, I changed my mind big time when I met him.
I'm going to vote for him using my spare spam proof email!
I received the following in an email today:
I hope you don't mind me writing but I'm after a big favour. I wonder if you would be so kind as to forward this email onto everyone at CitiSail. It was such a lovely talk to do, and they were so supportive of me and my project, I wondered if they might be happy to support me.
I've just heard that I have been short listed by British Airways for one of their Great Britons Awards. If successful, this means that BA will provide free flights for Elaine & Timothy to the Caribbean to meet me when I get to the other side after my single-handed Trans-Atlantic crossing in December. This would be a terrific help as I've been struggling to find the money to cover their flights – it will also be great PR if I win.
However, to win, I need people to vote for me and I wondered if they might be encourage to circulate this email to their work colleagues or those who attended my talk.
