Last week I took delivery of a new suit of sails (that's: main, no 1 and no 2 jibs) for our old Comanche catamaran.
Steve Meakin, of Cormorant Sails, was recommended to me, by someone whose opinion I trust, and I am very happy to pass the word on.
The sails are real works of art, eg beautiful handsewn cringles.
The boat has been transformed. Today, we enjoyed a beat (not really her thing) from Pyefleet to Bradwell, in a lovely force 4/ 5.
She points higher, foots faster and tacks more quickly. She genuinely feels like a different boat.
Right from the start, Steve has been fantastic: great communication, and really committed to making sure I was happy with the final product.
If you're thinking of new sails, I strongly suggest giving Steve a call.
(Hopefully, I don't really need to add this, but I have absolutely no connection with Steve other than as a very satisfied customer).
