Genuine possible newbie purchase advice

My Swing mooring in Suffolk is £225 a year and that includes all the Seagull shit you can manage

sadly the SE coast isn't that cheap :-(

I have a pontoon mooring in Essex that costs me circa £65 per month. For the annual mooring fee of under £800 I also get a lift in and out once a year and a month on hardstanding. Boating doesn't have to be expensive.

as usual it all depends on where you live. SE boating sadly is expensive.

Well I consider myself very much in the SE, but even on the south coast there are bargains to be had if you know where to look.
