I have a Northern Lights M643 with 833 hrs. On starting it runs for about 2 mins and then shuts down. If I hold down the bypass switch it will continue to run. So, no fuel issues.
The control panel has no warning lights or display gauges. I tested the resistance across the oil pressure sender which was about 10 ohms engine off and 140 ohms engine running. I did the same for the temperature sender, and although I didn't catch the engine cold I did measure a drop from warm of about 300 ohms to a reading of 120 ohms at the point the engine shutdown.
I'm not sure how to figure which one triggers the shutdown relay.
The oil level is near the top mark and both the oil and filter were changed 20hrs ago. I've seen no decrease in the oil level.
The raw water flow overboard appears normal, the pump remains cool and it's possible to comfotably touch the raw water discharge elbow at the heat exchanger. The coolant level is mid range and has not changed.
Any ideas?
