You might have a good chance as it is the end of the season and so people might be away. The port staff are very good. The booking system is now online. Have a look at http://www.portdebeaulieu.com If you have no luck pm me your boat details and I will try a direct email to the head. Also there is St Jean and the walk along the coast between St Jean and Beaulieu is excellent. If you can't find anywhere in a port anchor off and use your tender. I will help you find a place to leave it.

Yep, been for the last 3 years. Your right its not a Mardi Gras, its a Beaulieu s/Mer local thing, but they may you feel very welcome. There are a couple of get togethers and the dinner on the Saturday night is fun. I was just pointing out that there was a bit more on that weekend. Now the St Jean fete patronelle really kicks off with a great raft race for those who like that sort of thing and everyone wanders around wearing blue and yellow clothes. We really like the little festivals of the coastal communities that we have close to us. It was one of the reasons for buying in Beaulieu. Having just moved from the centre of Edinburgh and having just boughtin the centre of Beaulieu I think I like Beaulieu more. For a start you can swim in the water!

Not wanting to take the wind out of Mcandersons sails:)
5-11 th is Cannes boat show ( I note in an earlier post ETA Antibes "no later than the 5th " -mike inferred ?)
Week end 3/4 is a Ferretti sneak preview -at the Monaco Yacht club for trials
It's an initiation job only - grub -booze - joy ride - we got ours throught Ferretti owners club via Itama section.
They offered a sea trail in the bigger stuff from there 6 or range of brands.
I think we are down for Itama 75 and a big Pershing 100+ thingy bob - well you know something that blends in .
I,ll take some discrete pic .
Fraid you won,t catch :). me watching some French Moris dancers equivalent :)
.
So Mike keep an eye out when passing Monaco Sat /Sun. 3/4 th for new stuff from Ferretti group having a play.

Have you logged in to Ferriti owners area ---- on the e-mail invite list ?

Didn't know there was a Ferretti owners area! Where's that then? Having said that, Ventura have given up on inviting us to their events. I don't like wasting their time unless I'm genuinely in the market although we have bought 3 boats from them so maybe we should:D

I think it's through Ferretti capturing my details- HIN etc when previously enquiring about parts .A central data base is setup -Guess I ticked the agreed terms box .
From memory there's a PW protected owners area with Events ,but we do get mail shots too .

PM sent with that event organiser

Deleted User I agree with the above that it's not a wonderful bit of coast until menton.

The lovely anchorage off beau lieu and st Jean cap ferret marinas has been spoilt by newly laid buoys marking a no anchoring zone for boats above 20m. You are now forced into the deep, rough water so the place is a non starter now in my book. I've spent a fortune in beaulieu over the years and 10k this summer alone but they seem to think it is ok to turn 20-24m boaters away. Nuts.

The villefranche side of the cap remains delightful. Anchor top right hand corner. La Mer Germaine is undoubtedly the best restaurant anywhere near there - truly excellent.

See you around in the near future!

Just a word of caution, IIRC that's the area where a monster rust trap sits at the bottom, waiting for boat anchors to grab it.
Or did they remove it, maybe?

Surely you have your Ferretti card mike?
Used mine at boot and enjoyed a very pleasant lunch on the stand and guided access round the new 550

Well its a jolly good thing my boat has a LOA of 19.96m then! How do the authorities apply this rule? Just check your documents or come round with a tape measure?

Thanks for the second heads up on La Mer Germaine. We'll definitely try it if we can

Yes likewise look forward to seeing you and all the SoF massive in the future

Yup you're right, I do indeed have a Ferretti card somewhere. Never used it for anything but we ought to start

no that thing is top left of the bay, NW corner, quite near the restaurants. I hooked it a few weeks before Bart did. The top right of the bay, NE corner, is free of debris!
