Genoa Cars 32mm T track

I'm looking to replace both the genoa cars which originally were Lewmar to fit 32mm 'T'-track.

I've seen the Barton replacements at about £70 each.

Does anyone have other suggestions that would suit?

We fitted exactly the same Barton to replace the obsolete 25 year old model. The black pull up button lasted about 15 minutes! Both came off in rapid succession - bodged a repair with self tapping screw and Araldite.

They are coming off this winter to be replaced with something better I hope and have negotiated a deal of sorts with Barton.

Rutgerson's genoa cars fit standard 32mm T-tracks (although their own tracks have a profile with slightly rounded corners). For some years now I've used their sliding model, adjustable from the cockpit, and I'm quite happy with them.

From memory the French manufacturers Goiot do 32 mm.cars. Kenneth Ryland (Google) is their UK rep. Knowledgable chap.

Deckbits are genuine.I have bought from them a couple of times.The question was also asked on the Moody Owners website & they were recommended by several people.

IMHO Barton is good practical stuff and I would have thought they would replace your faulty cars without question. I've used Barton cars for several years, no problems at all.
No connection etc except they are nice people and just up the road!

I've got to renew the cars on our Duo.

Lewmar still do them, I bought 2 two years ago. Not cheap mind you, but good quality - much, much better than the Barton ones.
Got mine through Mailspeed Marine in Warrington, about 3 weeks lead in time though.
