I was involved with an unfortunate incident at the 'Gaffers Regatta' over the weekend.
We had been without power for 3 days and I put my Generator ( Kippor 2600 ) on the bathing platform after offering everyone within extension reach to plug in.
Time
0930-1010 no problems or complaints
and 1930 , no sooner had I started it and retired inside with the doors closed there was a man jumping up and down waving his arms around.
He asked me to turn it off which I agreed almost immediately, he said I could put it back on in about 20 minutes when they went out but that would make it a bit late in my opinion.
Now the chap at the side of him came across ranting and raving like a lunatic, by now it had already been agreed for me to turn it off, all I needed to do was pop inside to unplug stuff
3 x mobile phones
1x Nintendo DS
1x electric shaver
2 x PMR radios
Hand held VHF
water scooter
remote control boat
Laptop computer
MP4
etc
Anyway he wouldn't let me go, he kept ranting and raving about how no one else needed a generator and I was the only one with one at the Yarmouth Naffers causing a nuisance.
Now I am asking what would you have done ?
We need power to get fresh water out the tanks, the loo is electric, alright we could manage without the TV/DVD but we are supposed to be enjoying ourselves not roughing it !
How do you manage 4 days without power ?
We run out of hot water after about 8 hours, power after a day or so.
What am I doing wrong ?
