The negotiations on the boat I was looking at haven't gone to plan.
Basically all the things in the old survey that were supposed to be fixed are not- the DTronic engine it turns out as a 220hp is NOT a DTronic, the Diesel Heater is cheap, chinese and doesn't work.... etc etc.. you get the idea.......
I have seen and spoken to someone looking to sell a Crownline 242CR which appears a nice boat (Not been to see it yet).
What are general thoughts on this boat - fitted with a DTronic 250hp engine from 2002 (so re-engined I think) so I think the boat is about 2400-2700kg so should go well enough with a 250hp in it, and seems quite well equipped with Eberspaecher heating Bowthruster, Shore Power etc etc....
Doesn't have a Plotter, Windlass or rear sunbed so needs a little bit spending on it - hopefully I can get the price to where I want it....
But overall - Crownline - I understand they are a bit better made than the Bayliner / Maxum type boats, probably more like the SeaRay / Chapparal / Four Winns type boats? Are they ok in a seaway or are they more lake boats?
Anyone owned one? Are they any good or are they "run a mile" boats?
Thank you
