Hi - After spending the weekend doing various jobs on the boat and getting the outdrive primed - I decided to clean my stainless props up.
What I thought would be a 5 min job ended up being 2hrs but not the end of the world - I found like what I can only describe as something like a limescale build up very stubborn to remove.
Although very happy with the results

so the question is - To stop any future build up of any foreign matter is there anything that can applied to the props ??

All opinions welcomed

I never found anything in 9 y of a twin VP DPG .

Although scrubbing either from the bathing flatform and /or snorkelling ( warm Med ) was the best solution -to keep em clean .
Even a slight build up caused probs ,they would not go over 2500 rpm --not enough torgue .

Pic 2 the anode does not look right -- it's been painted and it's worn .

I was told that chrome polish was the way to go. I used it all the time but I'm not sure it worked. But my big tip is.......Cillit Bang, cleans off the lime scale and leaves the prop lovely and shiny with minimal effort

Hi Jez - Interesting would like to hear how you get on over with it after the season.
I was thinking on lines of something that skiers used to do or may still do and put wax on their ski's to make them more efficient.
