A lot has been said about color matching. So i did as told, got the gelcoat and the coloring agaent (set bought from west Marine). My deck os cream and a managed to get a perfect match. Now after 1 year all the repairs are snow white.
Anyone know of a colour additive which does not fade?

Thx

hi
interested in this post as I am about to do a number of gelcoat areas using grey gelcoat pigment to match up topsides-is it suggested that I make the repaired areas a little darker to allow for some fade?

Nooooo.
By the time your new bits faded out - so also will the orginal gel coat around it.
If you understand what I mean.
Make it a matching colour.
