Gelcoat filler

I am using the plastic padding 2 part epoxy filler at the moment. Good stuff and specifically states it is for below the water line. It takes time to cure though.

Cheers

Or just use actual gel coat... It's not expensive...

I wondered about that, after finding that the Plastic Padding product didn't dry white, and seemed much more brittle than the original gelcoat on the boat.

But is the alternative to Plastic Padding's version sold in small amounts? I had the impression it's only cheap if you buy it in yacht-builder's quantities.

I'd be interested in the answer to this too. I'm currently looking for a tiny amount of below - waterline filler. About a teaspoon full!

This is the one I've got in the repair box, easy to use... http://www.fibreglassdirect.co.uk/marine-epoxy-filler.html
I also have a pack of Milliput superfine white which is ideal for filling screw holes etc... http://www.mbfg.co.uk/milliput/5364.html?gclid=CI_2-vSrmcQCFdQZtAod6U0AAA
Both are OK underwater.

Thanks for that, ordered some Milliput yesterday, arrived today. Using it to fill holes in white fibre glass.
What a super product, easy to use, easy to get smooth finish and easy to clean up afterwards.

Im sure that if I had the patience it could easily be tinted for exact matching.
