We looked at Kustom Coatings in Hamble to do some work on the gelcoat on our boat, we had an impromptu unannounced tour of their premises at Port Hamble, the workmanship looked good and the quoted prices were very competitive. Compared with what we were quoted in Belgium to get a fibreglass boat done, it was going to be more cost effective to take the boat over to them to get done, some gelcoat repair and a full topside repaint.

Around here it is nearly all steel boats and the paintshops don't want to touch "plastic boats"

Agree with this, booked up months ahead though. Just done my coppercoat, brilliant job at a fair price.
